This weekend I had the pleasure of sharing The Tasty Waffle Company with the good people of Brooklyn at Shwick Market's Food Porn Fest. And I had a ball! It was so great to introduce my company and my waffle addiction to the masses. I loved chatting with customers and preparing their waffles. I especially loved the expressions on their faces when they tasted their waffles...the joy! I feel like I did the right thing in betting on myself and starting my company. I feel good!
In addition to all of the great food I ate, I had the opportunity to meet and sell my waffles alongside some of the kindest and warmest people in the city. People who make great food and drinks, and who (like me) are tying to get their piece of the American pie. I thoroughly enjoyed my time fellowshipping with these business owners and their supporters, and I fully plan (and hope!) to work with them in the future. All in all, Food Porn Fest was a huge success, and a whole lot of fun. Can't wait until next year!
